Introduction

Tall Oak Counseling Center is a faith-based not-for-profit corporation funded by individual donors, churches and other ministries supportive of our vision,
mission statement and counseling goals. The center exists as a means receiving and dispersing financial assistance for clients and families and to offer
subsidies to therapists so that they can more effectively achieve the goals and objectives of our relationally-focused counseling center.

The guiding objectives of the center are to:

•        counsel, educate, and equip people to connect with and act on their created identity,
•        provide a
caring and safe environment to process, heal and forgive,
•
process the impact of trauma and addictions,
•        repair broken trust to
enrich and restore significant relationships,
•
resolve unhealthy relational and thought responses,
•
teach and equip people to implement boundaries and manage anger, anxiety and panic,
•        facilitate the
recognition and resolution of self-reliance as a maladaptive response to woundedness,
•        and to ultimately, facilitate the
restoration of family relationships.

Impact

Many of the hurting people in the world have been injured at the hands of another person.  At Tall Oak Counseling Center, these relational wounds are
addressed relationally as well. Research indicates that healing is born out of a caring and supportive therapeutic relationship – that is our goal and our
specialty.

By providing an atmosphere that encourages growth and change and using the highest quality and most appropriate counseling techniques, TOCC has
seen many lives changed.

And when
individuals find healing, whole families have the opportunity for healing as well!

Our objective is to work with not only individuals, but entire systems; be it couples, families or groups, in order to ensure
long-term change.

Community Focus

When TOCC was founded in 2006, the board of directors focused on three main principles: counseling, educating and equipping.

In working with individuals, families and organizations, TOCC has continued to perform these functions in the Colorado Springs community and beyond by
offering therapeutic services and conferences, conducting educational workshops, and working alongside local churches and organizations.

The community and systemic focus of TOCC makes it
unique among counseling centers. By focusing on both individual and systems wholeness, the
clientele of TOCC are equipped to give back to others with an authentic desire and commitment to make the community and world a better place.

In this way, the impact on our society grows exponentially!
